After my studies I started working as an advisor in the technical department of a help desk project. An extensive training course was arranged, and after some time I was familiar with the tools and the different types of subscriptions. From then on, I was able to focus totally on customer satisfaction. As the old adage says, satisfied customers come back. In addition, there was a really nice atmosphere in my team. 

After working for two years as an advisor, I applied for the post of team coach, and I passed the test. I learned a lot from this experience, especially as regards people management and languages. Sometimes it takes good time management to get everything done, but you get more pleasure in your work if you can keep going despite the difficulties and look upon it as a challenge.

Many years ago, around the time when 5.25" floppies were replaced by 3.5" floppies, I became fascinated with everything to do with PCs. I began toying with the idea of making my hobby my profession, and in the last year of the old millennium I entered the world of telephone support. It was an exciting time for me, as this was really pioneering work and I had to use all my creativity, passion and sheer guts to create the necessary structures from scratch.

Since then, I have been promoted from advisor to team coach to client manager. My project work involves a lot of colleagues with completely different personalities, but they all share the same fascination for everything connected with the internet. The atmosphere among colleagues is excellent, and so it should be. Thousands of users call us every week with their internet problems. They know they can count on us six days a week, from morning to evening.

“Every customer is different”

For four years I have been working on the IP Globalnet multiclient project, a series of inbound and outbound customer projects. I enjoy alternating between inbound and outbound. For example, one week I might do surveys, and the next week I might spend time helping with a new project in the customer service department.

I am in contact with customers on a daily basis. Believe me, every customer is different. That makes my job so fascinating and varied, with lots of responsibility.

I enjoy working for IP Globalnet, and I have the good fortune to work with great colleagues. I wouldn’t trade my headset for all the money in the world!
